In short
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools. Fonts and scripts are hosted on this server. Third-party content is loaded in one case only: some posts contain an OpenStreetMap map, which loads only after you click “Load map” (see Maps). Otherwise, only the server log data needed to run the site is processed.
Hosting
This website runs on a server operated by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, in Germany. STRATO processes data on my behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Server log files
When you visit this website, the web server automatically stores the following data in log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- requested page or file and amount of data transferred
- HTTP status code
- referrer URL (the previously visited page, if sent)
- browser type and operating system (user agent)
This data is processed to deliver the website, keep it secure (for example, to fend off attacks) and analyse errors. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. Log files are deleted automatically after 7 days at the latest. The data is not combined with other data.
This also applies when the RSS feed is fetched.
Encryption
Connections to this website are encrypted with TLS (HTTPS).
Maps (OpenStreetMap)
Some posts contain a map, for example of a travel route. The map is not loaded automatically. You first see a placeholder with a “Load map” button. Only when you click it does your browser load the map images (tiles) from the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom.
This transmits to the OpenStreetMap Foundation in particular your IP address, the map tiles requested, date and time, information about your browser, and the address of this website (kazkazi.de, without the specific page). The route data and the map software (Leaflet) are hosted on my own server; no cookies are set.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give by clicking “Load map”. Consent applies to that page view only and is not stored; on your next visit the placeholder appears again. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future by not loading the map again. The United Kingdom is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR).

Contact by email
If you email me, I process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering requests), or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract. Messages are deleted once they are no longer needed for handling your request, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Email for this domain is processed by Proton AG, Route de la Galaise 32, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland. Switzerland is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR).
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

- restriction of processing (Art. 18)
